The West Freshman Girls Basketball team wrapped up it’s season on Tuesday night at home against Bradley-Bourbonnais. Down 7 with under a minute to play, Ruby Garcia nailed 2 three-pointers from the corner to narrow the gap. With 13 seconds remaining, Riley George sank 2 free throws to give the Warriors the lead. Caeley Doran got a steal in the remaining seconds to seal the West-Side victory. Total scoring was:

The Lady Warriors finished the season with a record of 14 – 9 in Game 1’s; and a record of 10 – 9 in Game 2’s. They were winners of the Turkey Classic in November; placed 2nd in the Joliet Central Christmas Tourney; and finished tied for first in conference play- alongside Andrew with a record of 6 – 2.
Thank you to an amazing group of parents and fans who followed the team all over this season. We always had a huge crowd and lots of noise letting the girls know who was behind them everywhere we played.
Ladies- thank you for the HUGE commitment you made to our team and the West Basketball Program this season. The time, studying, many early mornings, long school days, and late nights that you put in made us who we are. You are all FANTASTIC!
We will see everybody on March 10th for Winter Sports Awards Night!
