Warriors News · Tim Lange was our Ultimate Warrior in 2018 #WhereAreTheyNow

Tim Lange was our Ultimate Warrior in 2018. Tim had this to say: This summer I’ll be moving to New York to intern with IBM’s Market Development & Insights team in their Manhattan office! I’m super excited about the opportunity and forever grateful for everyone at West that has helped me get to this point in my life. Go Warriors!

Sports Played at West:  Soccer

College: University of North Carolina, Class of 2022

Major: Double Major: Business Administration and Economics

Why You Chose Your College: I decided to attend UNC because I knew that it would provide an excellent blend of academic rigor, extracurricular and community engagements, professional development opportunities, and a great social atmosphere. It was important to me that I attended a university at which I would be challenged each day but where I also knew that I would be happy and feel supported. After two and a half years, I can confidently say that I found that place at UNC.

Accomplishments in College: Dean’s List (all semesters), Honors Carolina Student

Current Occupation: Incoming Market Development & Insights Analyst

Favorite Athletic Memory at West: During my senior season on the soccer team we participated in the Pepsico Showdown, which is the largest high school soccer tournament in the nation. After winning all of our games in the preliminary rounds, we advanced to the finals and ended up winning the tournament for the first time in school history. Our team was a really close-knit group and we had an amazing fan section that came out to all of our games, so the collective feeling of accomplishment and pure joy that all of us exhibited directly following the final whistle of that game was something that I will never forget.

Best Advice for Warrior Athletes: You are the only one that can define what success looks like for yourself. Throughout your time as an athlete and student, there are going to be a number of people that tell you what you should do, who you should become, what you should care about, etc. Hear what those people have to say (they might share a perspective that you were unaware of), but think critically about what you want your future to look like, and do what makes sense to you to get there.
